The Red Line is a massive piece of land that stretches around the world from North to South. There are special location located near or on the Red Line that one can travel to.
Are two areas that are just north and south of the Grand Line. These areas almost never have ocean currents or winds blowing, and are also nesting grounds for Sea Kings. They are very effective barriers for those trying to enter the Grand Line.
A giant whirlpool that connects three facilities of the World Government: Enies Lobby, Impel Down and Marineford. This current allows World Government and Marine ships to move between the three locations privately. It is located on the Grand Line in a corner where the adjacent Calm Belt and Red Line intersect. The three facilities form a triangle that surrounds the current. The only way to access the current is to enter through a facility's Gates of Justice.

A dark fogging stretch of sea that one has to cross over when heading to Fishman Island. Many pirate and commercial ships mysteriously go missing every year.

All of the sky islands located in the first half of the Grand Line are located here. Many people don't believe in Sky Islands, but they do exist. Though it is extremely dangerous to reach these islands for people who are not from a Sky Island.
